You can remove it in the home page, but it will make the text not work properly. I see your screenshot, but it's from other theme.

If you want remove the logo image, just use an transparent image, I think it will help you in your case.

2. Yes, you can remove other themes.

3. You will need ftp if something wrong, but to undo the code wrong can't work with third party plugin.

4. The website use a theme name Nugat not sonorama.

Then check your discography, you will see new overlap image.

As I've answered about it, the script in background video not support for vimeo. So you can't see it. The wordpress default work well for vimeo, it's normal default from wordpress core.
