Berk Sidebar Portfolio Template Not Responsive

Hello, I am the developer using Berk Portfolio Themes Sidebar 5 column wide layout. However, I have noticed that when in mobile or responsive view the Sidebar does not disappear and takes the visible area on the screen while the content is pushed off the edge of the screen. Kindly guide me with a fix for this issue. I'd like to have a button that when toggled, makes it appear and disappear.

To further elaborate, it is the sidebar-portfolio-5col-full.html and the issue remains in all sidebar layout html files. Attached is screenshot of how it looks in mobile view. As you can see, the portfolio project posts are hidden away and instead the sidbar nav menu is seen. The hamburger toggle icon is on display but it doesn't function practically.

Hello, I downloaded the theme zip folder, I opened the sidebar-portfolio-5-column-full-width and other sidebar layout html files in chrome browser but it doesn't load any CSS, none of the html files actually load any styles so I'm unable to see if the sidebar layout is working properly in responsive mode. Can you please check if CSS is properly linked in the provided files or instruct me on how to link it? I have also noticed that there are certain style files and scripts that are declared in the html using bower, this was not the case with the original theme download folder I in which all the html files properly load the styles and scripts.

I am unfamiliar with bower or gulp and I'm not sure whether I have to do anything using either of these tools to load the styles properly.
