At the bottom of the backend is the section where I can assign section attributes. Nothing seems to update the pages. I've tried full width and it isn't removing the sidebar. Am I doing something wrong to try to remove the sidebar?
In order Section Attributes to work please assign Page Attributes > Parent Page > Homepage to it. Section Attributes will work only when this page behaves as child page. So for "About" you can create one more page, ie "About Child" and then assign "About" as Parent to it.
I did that and nothing happened. I went to about and retail locations pages and assigned the homepage as their parent. Then I went down and selected full width and when I checked the pages they still have a sidebar. Am I missing something?
I've looked through what you did and that makes more sense. So I create a separate page and assign all the content there and by making it the child of the main page it will then add the content. Question the top part of the page (main page) is that the featured image or something with the slideshow?

What do you mean by demo? Page template or importing in the example pages?
