So I'm a freelance graphic designer and I've been commissioned to edit the appearance of my client's wordpress site. Now I made it clear from the jump that I don't know much AT ALL about coding, I can only help with the aesthetics and the issue I'm running into is that the wordpress them that my client purchased; the EPIC Multipurpose Theme, looks absolutely nothing like the demo. Followed all the steps of clearing previous content from their staging site, downloading the theme and available plugins and then importing what I assumed was the XML of the demo content for me to directly edit. Wrong.
The site STILL looks absolutely nothing like the preview and even worse, the live customization gives me absolutely nothing to work with in terms of changing key element's of my homepage's appearance. No option to change the slider image, no option to remove "blog posts". Just an empty, ugly basic wordpress homepage that's a far cry from what my client PAID for. Someone please tell me what I've done wrong. I've attached both the zip file with the theme here
