    How could I extend the layout of the blog so that it fills the gap where widgets used to be? Thank you.

    Hi,

    Please add the css code in the path: Appearance -> Theme Editor -> Style.css, please put it in the end of the file:

    .blog .col-sm-9 {
     width: 100%;
    }
.sidebar {
display: none;
}

    I'm sorry but for some reason it didn't work.

    My mistake. I cleared the cache and it loaded at 100%.
