Thanks, your ticket system doesn't work in IE so I couldn't submit. I think I managed to install the dummy data, it said failed but now I have 3 of each thing in the navigation! I can't upload any images into the library - would this be a hosting PHP issue?

    Hi,

Then I can reset your website to try import it? Do you have anything you want save? Reset process will lose all your content.

Sure go ahead, thanks. I don't have anything to save, I just have a plugin for a holding page that I'd like to keep. See if you can upload an image too?

    Thanks again

    Hi,

I tried but seem the max input time in your website too little so it can't process the import porperly.

Maybe you can increase the max_input_time in your website so I can try it again? Or if you want try it with yourself, you can download the attached file, it's the demo data include image, please make sure using your own image when you public your website.

I can try.  The strange thing is we have the same theme installed in a folder above on a .co.uk domain on the same hosting and managed to get the dummy data installed then, so I'm not sure it can be the max input time?

    Hi,

I'm not sure about it too, maybe you can ask your hosting provider about it.

If you want move the demo data from other domain, you can try using duplicator plugin.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Thanks I hadn't thought of that - is that easy to do and likely to work? I imagine though we will still have the http error when uploading replacement images

    Hi,

The duplicator very easy to work with and powerful when you want move site to other place.

You can ask your hosting provider why you can't import demo data in your website, because it's working in other site and they will check it for you.

We will ask the hosts, thanks. Is the duplicator plugin likely to work with the php max problem, and is it this one?

    Thanks again

Hi, we were told this by the web hosting about 30 minutes ago:

    I created php.ini file and add code: upload_max_filesize = 512M post_max_size = 1024M

But I've tried importing the dummy data file you gave me twice and get a message saying ‘are you sure you want to do this?’ and a try again link, then this error:

Sorry, there has been an error. File is empty. Please upload something more substantial. This error could also be caused by uploads being disabled in your php.ini or by post_max_size being defined as smaller than upload_max_filesize in php.ini.

Would it be a permissions issue or something?

    Thanks

I think we could get by with what has managed to be imported but we're getting 'http error' when trying to upload any images - have you heard of that before?

    Hi,

I tried upload new image in your website and it's work good without http error. Maybe you can check it agian?

    http://laurencebaker.com/wp-admin/upload.php

But if you still face this problem, maybe you can check more detail here:

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/media-upload-not-working-http-error/page/2/#post-8435954

Do you have any hosting package in other hosting provider? Maybe you can check your website with new hosting to make sure the problem come from wordpress or our theme and not from hosting provider?

There are many errors in your side when it not happen in my side and other customers. I'm sorry for inconvenience, but I think the problem come from hosting provider or the configuration in current host package.

Hi, yes I do seem to upload despite the error actually, but I don't get to see the image thumbnail/preview (just the default icon). For some reason new images go into a 2014 folder rather than 2016 so I think it's a path issue of some sort? I'm going to be away for 2 weeks as of this afternoon so will pick it up with hosting in the New Year. Happy Christmas!

    Hi,

You can upload media in global location with configuration below:

Go to Dashboard -> Settings -> Media
Uncheck Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders

Then try upload image again to see it work or not.

    Hi,

Please make sure you have download the demo data in here:

    https://jellythemes.ticksy.com/?dl=659462

I think the best way is working with duplicator, please try create duplicator package from other sites in your server (like your previous replied you can import it correct in other sites) and install it in correct domain, it will resolve your problem now.
